Photographer Reiko Rodriguez was kind enough to be our eyes over the event and we are excited to share his first-hand account. "Immediately getting there as I walked up the stairs, I could hear the music. The vibe were warm and welcoming. Everyone was full of joy doing something they love with passion, which is one of the greatest gifts in life that some never get to experience. Creativity was definitely in the building. The force was immaculate. I got a chance to interact with and meet every individual. Some of them were a bit camera shy at first. Then it happened--- I captured 'that' moment. Honestly that’s my favorite part about photography; meeting new people and having the ability to make people smile and laugh. Even if it’s only for a split second. I got the chance to see and capture that happiness, the mood I felt and wanted to share it with them." *Above gallery of photo-journalistic captures of the event by photographer Reiko Rodriguez. "I share what I see everyday through my own eyes. Words can’t explain. Life moves fast and being able to capture positive moments and joy is the best feeling. We all have dreams of where we are going and forget to enjoy the ride while we travel on the way to that destination. I’m originally from Colorado. I have always been a creative in the art scene. I've been welcome among all sorts of creatives. Connecting with others like yourself is such an opportunity--- it’s okay and excepted to be different as we all view the world through our own thoughts and vision. I say take your time but don’t waste it." ~R. Rodriguez *Above gallery by Laura Arellano of Blue Betties Boutique (the official seamstress of TIWE). The vendors present included Jagwired Art, The Magical Unicorn 11:11, Blue Betties Boutique and Lita Deady as an extension of The Imaginarium Wonder Emporium. Nonprofits in attendance were The Alora Farm (community for teen and adult autists) gifting pollinator plants to the community and ELEMENTZ bringing ethically extracted local honey and sustainable crafts. Live music and face painting for the event was provided by Pineapple House Platforms.
